Most Summit County properties (60%) are second homes, but many of these owners are hoping to be here full time after retirement. The key to our value is "Supply Vs Demand". Supply is extremely limited, since over 70% of our land is government owned (Open Space, Wilderness and National Forest). And the demand keeps growing - county planners predict "build-out" by 2013 - after that there won't be any more land left to develop! So if you are dreaming of building a home here someday, you might want to consider at least reserving your land now; you can wait as long as you want to start building.

Summit County is made up of the towns of Breckenridge, Keystone, Frisco, Dillon, Silverthorne and Copper Mountain. Each has it´s own personality, but all are only a few minutes from each other. If you want to be closest to skiing choose Breckenridge, Keystone or Copper Mountain. These areas also have beautiful golf courses, as does Silverthorne.
