Home, condo & land sales in Summit County, Colorado: Dillon, Keystone, Frisco, Silverthorne, Copper Mountain & Breckenridge
Why invest in SummitCounty?
We have an environment and a lifestyle that people all over the world envy, and want to be a part of. Our visitors come for the natural beauty, the clean air, and all the activities that are a part of our lifestyle: from world class skiing to gold medal fishing, snowmobiling to sailing; and don't forget hiking and biking through all that National Forest land that surrounds us!
Most Summit County properties (60%) are second homes, but many of these owners are hoping to be here full time after retirement. Until then, they have a place where their family can gather, that appeals to little kids as well as grandparents, and even difficult teenagers! As the kids grow up & leave home, many are headed to either coast, but all are excited to meet back here in the middle to visit with family, relax & have fun.
Along with the obvious advantages of having your own private get-a-way in an exciting and beautiful location, you also should consider the economical aspects of ownership. SummitCounty has seen a price reduction of about 20% since the highs of 2007, and now most people believe that we have seen the bottom and expect prices to gradually increase while inventory goes down. By buying your own piece of the Rockies now, you can take advantage of this potential appreciation on your investment.
The key to our value is "Supply Vs Demand". Supply is extremely limited, since over 70% of our land is government owned (Open Space, Wilderness and National Forest). And so much of our land that is available for private ownership has been built on already. And the demand keeps growing - county planners predict "build-out" by 2013 - after that there won't be any more land left to develop! So if you are dreaming of building a home here someday, you might want to consider at least reserving your land now; you can wait as long as you want to start building.
SummitCounty is made up of the towns of Breckenridge, Keystone, Frisco, Dillon, Silverthorne and CopperMountain. Each has it´s own personality, but all are only a few minutes from each other. If you want to be closest to skiing choose Breckenridge, Keystone or CopperMountain. These areas also have beautiful golf courses, as does Silverthorne. Frisco and Dillon are on the shore of LakeDillon, and have marinas (and Dillon has the highest Yacht Club in the country!). You can find more information on the towns, resorts, golf courses3; here on this web site ? feel free to browse!
The number of people that want their own vacation home is growing. Babyboomers, retirees, sports enthusiasts, families who want a healthy environment for their children... are all creating this demand for our limited supply of real estate.
What are you waiting for? Isn't it time for you to own your own piece of the Rockies?
